| What is Cable Bolting?
Cable bolting is used for reinforcing rock formations by inserting
untensioned steel cables into grouted bore holes. The hole can be
grouted before or after the cable is inserted.
The length of the cable bolts can vary from 4 m to around 40 m.
Fully grouted, untensioned cable bolts have been used for the last
twenty years mainly in the mining industry for the reinforcement
of rock. There are many types of cables on the market and by help
of additives and special groute the curing time can be reduced. |
